Best known for his Unkwon alias and being one third of electro group Av Av Av, on Death Tapes Vol. 1 A.dixen explores a darker more introspective side of his distinctive production skills. Channelling dark, dystopian soundscapes and hazy meditative melodies, Death Tapes Vol. 1 is a deep dive through otherworldly and ethereal atmospheres and emotions.

Composed and recorded in Copenhagen during the winter 2019, the album is crafted on his modular synth merged with organic source material and distorted field recordings. Death Tapes Vol. 1 is the first instalment of a trilogy set to release during 2019.

Difficult to explain the layers of enjoyment felt when hearing this front-to-back. Immediately calming, ambient yet stirring. Never have I heard a more intricate yet simplistic ensemble of perfection in sound. It's hard to pick a favorite track on this album, as every single one is it's own masterpiece. I have a huge library of ambient soundscapes and drones, and this is without a doubt the king of them all. This album will provide you a genuine experience of drifting through the vast universe in a hyper sleep pod. 10/10 Jonas
